Hey guys! I just realized this was on a facebook page, but it wasn’t the updated one! Here is the updated one.

    • Sadly the non-updated one doesn’t exist anymore in a full rez! I overwrote the save file with the newer version. Ooops! I’ll see if I can recreate it. Any reason you want the old one?

  1. Your original made a very massive mistake… that is NOT Jetfire, that is a Robotech/Macross Veritech/Valkyrie. How the heck you managed to make *that* mistake is beyond me. And while Voyager is a good addition, you already have one Star Trek reference… howzabout putting in something from Robotech/Macross… such as a Veritech/Valkyrie. You’re sporting an awfully huge hole in Sci-Fi if you don’t have at least one Robotech reference.

    • Wow, you are an angry person. You should really chill out. I’m normally fine with people pointing out mistakes, but your tone is quite abrasive. Perhaps learn to just enjoy something rather than picking holes?

  2. Lol I just realized when i hit reply it just puts it down on the list. My angry comment was to Rene. To you deena I say that I should have said “Enterprise is more iconic” lol. But to each their own.

  3. I very much need this image! Are you still willing to email the full res to people asking? I think I just found my Christmas gift for my bf, if I can figure out how to print it! 🙂

    • Thank you for the critique. Sadly it is not photoshop, as photoshop is expensive. It is simple copy and paste. So to call it bad photoshop is… well.. incorrect. Also, I happen to like the font. If it is not to your liking feel free to make your own. I was just trying to share something that made me happy.

  4. Pleaae can you email me his res version of this poster …what a great idea…my boy would love it in his room.
Thanks for all the hard work making it too.

  5. Saw this at io9, and loved it so much, I wrote the following:

  6. Love this poster. What a great idea. If you are able to email out a high res I will have it printed and put it in my high school english class. Great work!

  7. D for Destiny from Stargate Infinity!
I feel there is a better choice.
D for Discovery One of 2001: A Space Odyssey. For one, the design of Discovery One is far more iconic than the pizza slice of Destiny.

  8. Great poster, saw it on io9. I’ll take a hi-rez if you’re still offering… if not then I’ll still be happy for seeing it here.

  9. I love this!

But I have one question… Isn’t the Quinjet atmospheric only, and therefore NOT a “space”ship?

    I know Q is tough to find…

  10. There are some very unmannered people commenting here. All I can say is, if you think you can do better, by all means show us your work. Personally, I think this is wonderful and would very much like the hi-res version, if that is still on offer.

  11. I liked the Liberator in the first version better than Lexx. I did think you should have used the UFO’s from UFO as “U”. Glad the revised version includes the Whitestars.

  12. Saw this via io9 – simply smashing! May I have a high-res version too please? (Simply ‘cos I want to annoy all my children!- they don’t like sci-fi – strange creatures!)

  13. Awesome work there, may I have a full-res copy for my son (not quite old enough yet, but I want to start early 🙂 ?

I do agree on Destiny though – Discovery is more iconic imho. Nevertheless, a fine piece of art!

  14. Hi, wondering of you could email me the picture? Would be super cool for my little cousins (6) Christmas . . . Although his dad may appreciate it more.
    Thanks! X

  15. Good comebacks Scott, sometimes you cant please any of the people any of the time. You`ve done a bloody good job there and i also would like a copy if possible, along with the majority who understand what you tried, and succeeded to achieve.

  16. While I’m not objecting to the inclusion of the “Challenger” I would like to suggest an alternative. If you want to stick to SF spaceships, how about a Chig Fighter from “Space: Above and Beyond”?

    • The hard part with stuff like “a Chig Fighter” is I tried as hard as I could to do ship names and not classes. Although I do fail at this for some of them (X-Wing stands out) I did try to stay true. Thank you for the advice though!

  17. Could you please send a hi-res? Looks great except for the absence of the real Enterprise, the TOS version or the one from the first 6 movies. That’s my only quibble and like tribbles it’s only a little one.

  18. I love the poster and would love to get a hi-res version if you please!
If you decide to redo it, it would be nice to see:
    E – Eagle – Space 1999
    G – Gunstar1 – The Last Starfighter
H – Hammerheads – Space: Above and Beyond
    U – UFO – UFO
    V – Valkyire – RoboTech
    V – Valley Forge – Silent Running

  19. X-Bomber from Starfleet would fit the name rather than the type, however, the X-Wing is far more recognisable. Disappointed to see the my favourite ship, The Liberator disappear from the updated version. Great poster though.

  20. Great poster! I would have liked to see Moya and Farscape 1 on there, but there you go. Could you send me a copy, please? It would be a great gift for my nerdy husband. Thank you!

  21. I would love a high res copy as I would like to print this and hang it on my wall. Thanks for the effort, this thing is AWESOME.

  22. I would love to have a high rez as well. I love this. I could lie and say it was for a grandson but the truth is… it would be for me. I’m a fan of all of these. And thank you.

  23. Love this!! If you are still willing, could I get a full rez copy as well? And if you still have the version with the Death Star I’d love a copy of it as well (doesn’t need to be full rez, just whatever you have.) Thanks in advance.

  24. Are you still sending out high res versions of this? I cannot think of a more perfect present for my middle brother. Thank you for making it.

  25. I know you’re probably swamped with requests, but are you still sending out the high res version? I never got the one I asked for 🙁 Thanks if you can!

  26. Are you still e-mailing the high res version? I love this!! I want this for my son’s nursery to hang next to Pauline Bayne’s Map of Middle Earth. ( And no, he probably won’t get to take this to college with him some day- Mama wants it!)

  27. I would love a high res copy of this! My grandson is bonkers for Star Wars and such, and he’d get a real kick out of this alphabet.

  28. I apologize for being like the nine-millionth request, but if you’re still willing to send out the high res file I’d love to hang this in my daughter’s room. She’s almost five and would love this!

  29. What a fantastic poster! Thank you for all your work. If it’s at all possible, I’d love to get a hi-res file. I have 8 grandchildren and about a 20 member sf club I would share it with. I think they all would enjoy it. Thanks again!

  30. Great work! I am a geocacher… If you don’t know what that is, go to geocaching.com

I am hiding several geocaches in my area in Middle Tennessee, and wanted to start each one with a different letter, and then saw this. So i will be using these ship’s names for the series…. Just search for TeamTrunkMonkey on geocaching.com, I will provide a link to my profile there if you want to see.

Also, if you could please send a full-res copy to my email, that would be great.

  31. This is fantastic work and what a great way to pass on the love of all things sci-fi!
Would love a copy of the full-res to make a poster!

  32. This is awesome! Looks like it’s been around for a while, but if you’re still able to send out high-res files, I’d love a copy! My boys would go nuts for this!

  33. I’d like a high res copy too, please. I’m always happy when people create something because it brings them joy, and then the rest of us get to enjoy it, too. Thank you!
